This Privacy Policy describes how Develop21 LLC collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal information when you use our AI-powered advisory platform at app.develop21.ai, our AI-assistant connector (mcp.develop21.ai), our browser extension, and any related services.

1. Eligibility

The Service is available only to individuals aged 18 or older. You confirm this when you create your account, and paid plans additionally require a valid payment card. If we learn that we have collected information from a person under 18, we will delete that information and terminate the account.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information: Name, email, password (stored as a cryptographic hash), and payment information (processed by Stripe).

Career and Advisory Data: Resumes, job preferences, salary expectations, work experience, career goals, and responses to AI coaching exercises. We treat all career and conversation data as sensitive personal information with heightened protections (see Section 6).

Conversation Data: When you use the Develop21 app, we store the full text of your conversations with AI personas plus memory summaries from our multi-layer memory system; each product's conversations are isolated from other products. When you use the Develop21 connector, we do not store your conversations or any chat memory. We store only the structured career data described in this section (your profile, the job postings you capture, and the documents Develop21 helps you write), extracted from your chat or uploads and encrypted at rest.

Job Opportunities: Job postings you capture via the browser extension or share with your AI assistant, and the documents Develop21 helps you create for them.

Browser Extension: When actively triggered, the extension captures visible page content and sends it to our servers for processing.

Usage Data: Device type, browser, IP address, pages visited, features used, error logs, and performance data.

3. How We Use Your Information

To operate the Service, process payments, improve features through anonymized analytics, provide support, prevent fraud, and comply with applicable laws.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

We share data only with service providers necessary to operate the Service:

Anthropic — AI conversation processing. Your data is not used to train their models.

Voyage AI — Text embeddings for memory retrieval. These are numerical representations that cannot be reversed into original text.

Supabase — Database hosting and authentication. Data encrypted in accordance with Section 6.

Stripe — Payment processing. We never store or see your full card number.

When you use Develop21 through your own AI assistant (the Develop21 connector), your conversation happens under your agreement with your AI provider. Develop21 receives only the tool calls your assistant makes on your behalf, and never sends your content to any AI model itself.

5. Payment and Billing

All payment processing is handled by Stripe. We receive only a tokenized reference to your payment method. Billing records (amounts, dates, tier) are retained for 12 months after account deletion for accounting compliance.

6. Data Security

Encryption at Rest: All conversation content, memory summaries, and uploaded documents are encrypted using AES-256-GCM.

Encryption in Transit: All data transmitted between your browser and our servers uses TLS 1.2 or higher.

Access Controls: Administrative access to your conversation content requires your explicit consent (see Section 7).

While we implement industry-standard security measures, no system is completely secure. We commit to promptly notifying affected users in the event of a data breach.

7. Consent-Based Support Access

Our support team cannot view your conversations by default. If needed, you grant a 24-hour access window by verifying your identity with your password. Access is automatically revoked after 24 hours.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

Your data is retained while your account is active. After cancellation, data is retained for 30 days for export, then permanently deleted. You can delete your entire account yourself at any time at mcp.develop21.ai/account/manage, or request deletion by emailing delete_now@develop21.com.

On the free connector plan, application documents are automatically deleted 30 days after their last update. Deleted items remain recoverable for 30 days, then are permanently removed. You can view, download and delete your connector data yourself at any time at mcp.develop21.ai/account.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or export of your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact data_requests@develop21.com. We respond within 30 days.

10. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management only. We do not use advertising cookies or trackers, and we do not serve ads.

11. Changes

We will notify you by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect.
